Hey, look at that!

I added a banner and my flickr page. I'll have to add artwork next. That's the hard part though. :)

Okay, let's see, I do have a picture of a painting here... though this picture is of the unfinished painting. It's finished now, but I rushed off to have it framed before I took photos of it. I'll post the finished version later when I get it back.
This is a painting for our wall, which is from a photo I took when I was in Puerto Escondido in Oaxaca in 2001. It is cheapie pastels on some old watercolor paper I had around. I think it's around 35x17 in.
To finish it, I cleaned up edges, fixed the waves, added hair on the horse, signed it, etc. I hope I get it back soon, so we can hang it on the wall. Sorry about the easel shadow at the top.

I've had this blog site for a while and I haven't done anything with it yet. I'll start now. I can't say I'll update every day or even every week. But I'll try to remember to do it semi-regularly.

I went to art school right out of high school. But I didn't really think I was good enough and I quit after a few years. After that I didn't produce any paintings or even draw for 10-ish years. Now I realize art is something I have to do. It's on the side, but that's better than not at all.

So this is where I'll post works in progress, finished paintings, and photographs. You're welcome to post comments. I'll get started soon.
